How to make joule thief ~Joule thief is a circuit to increase the voltage up to many times like an inverter. This circuit is usually used to power electronic equipment that requires low currents such as LED lights.
Range of joule thief can be used for emergency lighting when PLN electricity goes out or it can also be for outdoor activities that require lighting. One AA size 1.5 vol battery can be used to light several led lights for several hours.
The HP charger transformer used consists of three turns, one primary coil and two secondary turns. Primary windings are the lowest / most deep turns, the highest number of turns if measured using an LC meter or Ohm meter will be greatest if compared to the other turns. This primary coil will later as the output of this joulthief circuit (connected to the 220V LED).

The secondary winding each has 12 turns, both of which are connected in series, in which the two are connected by an inductor winding to the battery voltage source. One end of the diantanranya will be connected to the base of the transistor through a 10 Ohm resistor and the other end is connected to the transistor collector. The transistor emitter is connected directly to the negative battery voltage source.
